Housing: Emergency Assistance Services

Homeless clients who are eligible for Work First New Jersey General Assistance (WFNJ GA), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (WFNJ TANF) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) may be assisted with shelter and emergency services. Services may include the payment of overdue rent or mortgage, utility payments, or placement in temporary shelter.

Emergency Assistance applications are conducted over the telephone. Limited in-person interviews are available by appointment.
